Hoof Rot is the result of poor hygiene conditions.
This condition may be caused by mud, manure accumulation, or soiled bedding, which fosters the growth of anaerobic bacteria in the grooves of the frog. The infection can progress deeper into the hoof, causing acute pain and pronounced lameness.
EQUI2000 STRALOPTIK eliminates the fungi and bacteria responsible for frog rot by creating an antiseptic barrier and drying the affected area. Despite its strong action, it allows the hoof to breathe, supporting its natural regeneration process. Special ingredients also help strengthen the sesamoid area and promote regeneration of the hoof horn, keeping it elastic and absorbent.
Indications
Frog rot / Thrush
Dosage / Application / Administration
After thoroughly cleaning the sole with ACTIV WASH, apply STRALOPTIK directly into the frog and lateral grooves using the nozzle. Hold the hoof up briefly to allow full penetration. Apply daily for 1 week.
As a preventive measure, use EQUI2000 STRALOPTIK once a week. Ensure proper stable hygiene and clean hooves daily before application. After applying, keep the hoof elevated for a few seconds to allow proper absorption.
